There was something about her from the very start. He saw her singing in the choir one Sunday morning at church and knew he would make every effort and the most of every opportunity afforded to him to know her. They were freshmen at the time and she wasn’t quite ready to jump into a relationship and insisted they were friends.
His gentle and patient persistence paid off and after a year or so of pursuing this girl she finally said yes- to an official date that is.
So what began as a beautiful friendship with long conversations over coffee and spending evenings enjoying home cooked meals blossomed into a mutual love for one another and again, Ian asked and she said YES but this time- to being his bride!
I really enjoyed the evening with these two in Charleston. We got to walk some of their favorite streets and alleys and end it with gelato and the most beautiful Charleston sunset. Ian is a blacksmith and created the design for her ring and then carefully and methodically built it by hand. I look forward to seeing what he designs for their wedding bands!

Thank you Madeline and Ian for showing me around Charleston and for one of the most delicious Italian meals of my life! I’ll see you this Fall!
