How much of WHO you ARE is tied to WHAT you DO?
In society, by default, we tend to define ourselves by
๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐.
Naturally, we equate our doing (work) to the value of who we ARE (being).
๐ ๐ธ๐ข๐ด ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ ๐ข ๐ด๐ฆ๐ญ๐ง-๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ค๐ญ๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฌ-๐ข๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ช๐ค ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ช๐ต!
Little did I know, what this self-proclamation was costing me!
Iโd bust my tail to ensure my clients were satisfied, EVERYONE else was happy and the perception others had of me was kept intact.
๐๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ค๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐: an inability to say no, eating costs that werenโt my fault, not asking for help, continual disappointment that what I did was never enough, frustration, and always looking for what was wrong so I could โFixโ it, ie. frustration, disappointment, overwhelm, anxiety and stress.
As I began to understand the deeper meaning and connection, I began shifting and finding a healthy balance.
Two Ways of Doing
DO โ> BE โ> HAVE
When our Doing produces our Being it leads to what we Have. The fault lies in the direct correlation between our Doing and Being.
This limits what we have because itโs tied to what we do.
BE โ> DO โ> HAVE
When my Being drives my Doing–
it breaks the glass ceiling and releases unlimited possibilities.
My Being is limitless and therefore so is what I Have.
