What Future Are You Writing?

by tessamarie

Trauma- it may be a piece of your past, and yet, are you choosing to carry it into your future?

For many years I believed I’d healed and moved beyond my personal trauma. The verbal abuse, the judgments, limiting beliefs, and sexual abuse I had experienced at the hands of others.

Yet, I couldn’t understand why I found myself in depths of suffering that seemed to trigger my past I was more than a decade removed from.

I’ve experienced first hand how I either transform my pain, or I transmit my pain to those around me.

Transforming isn’t about fixing but about choosing something completely new.

You can either victimize yourself as you carry your past into your present, or you can choose to write a new story.
